Sailing from Puerto Montt, a city located 1,000 kilometers south of Santiago, to the San Rafael Glacier, a majestic relic of the planet's last glaciation, Skorpios II takes you on a dream cruise unlike any other. Travel through spectacular channels and archipelagos, where an exuberant nature stands out in all its splendor and humanity's presence is barely perceptible; where softly shaped islands are scattered in the ocean.
Visit isolated, picturesque fishing villages and settlemenst such as Puerto Aguirre and Quilen, the city of Castro, Quitralco fjord with its thermal baths and the San Rafael National Park. The national park, declared a world biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1978, contains the San Rafael Glacier, a magical, spectacular 30,000 year old structure that rises in multicolored towers to a height of more than 70 meters and downward into the frigid depths of the ocean.
On board Skorpios II, you will find a friendly, personalized service centered on exceptional hospitality provided by an experienced, well-trained crew. Warmth and efficiency are the cornerstones upon which the crew will construct for you a unique and unforgettable cruise.
You will have an enjoyable gastronomic experience alternating international cuisine and the best culinary traditions of southern Chile. Among these savory Chilean traditions are Kingcrab, giant mussels, oysters, sea urchins, barnacles, salmon, croaker, sea spike, kingclip, red and white meats, and the juicy, delicious Curanto. All meals will be accompanied by the best Chilean wines and exclusive alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the traditional open bar.
Skorpios II, built in 1988, has comfortable cabins distributed across 5 decks; all have private bathrooms, plasma TV, and background music. Cabins will feature either twin or double beds plus two suites on the uppermost deck.
On board, you are welcome to enjoy pleasant moments with the finest imported and national liquors in two comfortable bar lounges. The Quitralco saloon welcomes smokers while the San Rafael bar caters to non-smokers, and both feature a full-service open bar.
